“PR Manager, Fine Wine & Craft Spirits, Constellation Brands, WSET Level 3

Elizabeth Caravati

Elizabeth’s career in the wine industry began with her first job after college at a small, family-owned winery in Davis, California called Rominger West Winery, where she worked harvest, poured wine in the tasting room and managed the wine club. Two years later, Elizabeth moved to Napa Valley to become wine writer Karen MacNeil’s lead researcher for the second edition of The Wine Bible, the best-selling wine book in the United States. During that time, Elizabeth also poured wine on the weekends at one of her favorites wineries, Corison Winery, wrote about wine for, and co-founded a networking group for women in the wine industry. When The Wine Bible was finished and sent to the publisher, Elizabeth continued to pursue her passion for communicating about wine by moving to Benson Marketing Group in Napa to manage public relations for California wineries like Patz & Hall, Round Pond Estate, J. Lohr and Justin Vineyards, and European wine associations like Languedoc Wines and Garnacha Spain.

Today, Elizabeth lives in San Francisco and splits her days between the city and wine country, as the PR Manager for TRU Estates & Vineyards, Constellation Brands’ fine wine division, which includes brands like Robert Mondavi Winery, The Prisoner Wine Company, Ruffino, Schrader Cellars and Champagne Palmer & Co. Elizabeth earned her WSET Advanced (Level 3) certification with distinction through the Napa Valley Wine Academy, and continues to pursue wine education any chance she gets.
