Master of Oenology, Wine Educator/Journalist, International OIV certified Wine Judge

Annemarie Morse

Annemarie Morse has a Master's Degree in Oenology from Cornell University and has worked through harvest and blending as an assistant winemaker.  She is the Finger Lakes correspondent for the Cork Report, https://thecorkreport.us/ as well as a wine and food writer for other publications.  She has taught as a wine studies and marketing Lecturer, at a college level and guest lectured at Cornell University for more than 6 years in various classes. She is a member of the SUNY (State University of New York) Broome Culinary and Event Center Professional Development Council.

She is a certified wine judge, and has taught classes for and managed a national wine judge certification program. Annemarie has judged internationally and nationally for wine competitions for over 8 years, including; Berliner Wine Trophy (Germany), Grand Prix Vinex (Czech Republic), Texas International (Table Captain, TC), Great American International (TC), Atlantic Seaboard (TC), Big E Northeast Gold Wine (TC), Hudson Valley Wine & Spirits (TC), Finger Lakes International, and New York State Fair Wine, Great Lakes & Eastern States and Winemaker Magazine Competitions. She is a trained member of the Cornell University Sensory Evaluation Panel, evaluating client and research wine, spirits and cheeses. 

Her passion for wine and increasing her wine knowledge has led to continued wine education opportunities, including working as a wine consultant in retail, and more recently immersing herself with Italian wine studies. She is a certified specialist in the Wine and Food of Central Italy, studying with Ian D'Agata and has participated in VinItaly International Academy, OperaWine, VinItaly, BING (Best Indigenous Native Grapes), 3IC (Italian International Indigenous Wine and Food Studies Center) Educators course, and the Indigena World Tour (Native Wine Grapes of Italy project).  She has achieved the Court of Master Sommeliers First Level.  She presented at the Viticulture & Annual Wine Industry Workshop. Annemarie has hosted wine tours nationally and internationally.
